Organization: Ernst & Young
Education/Qualifications: Bachelor Administrative and Commercial Studies (BACS) from the University of Western Ontario, Master of Management and Professional Accounting (MMPA) from the University of Toronto, Chartered Accountant 2006
My life before Ernst & Young: During one of my summers in University, I worked for an event marketing company and drove around all summer handing out vouchers at local events and fairs. Our ride was an original Hummer, which was a lot of fun to drive such a large and tough vehicle!
Where I am today: I have been in my current role for a few months now, and I really enjoy meeting with our senior leadership to determine our campus recruiting strategy, managing a team spread across the country and also of course, meeting all of our recruits on campus! I find that I learn a lot from other people so, it’s great to be able to meet and work with so many different types of people and skill-sets. I visit all the campuses that will fit into my schedule and really enjoy getting to campus – there’s just a different type of energy out there! For my next step in my career, I’m hoping to continue working in Campus Recruiting and will also take a few Human Resources courses to see if there is anything else that may peak my interest! The great thing about working at Ernst & Young is that there are just so many different opportunities I can take advantage of!
In my spare time: I spend time with my husband, family and friends. We just bought our first house and are busy making it our home! I also enjoy travelling (have been to Peru to visit Machu Picchu earlier this year, and will be going to Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam this summer) and also enjoy learning more about digital photography, so I have been taking some classes at a local college.
Interesting fact: I am a Coca-Cola can collector, with ones from all around the world and various commemorative events!
