Prep Work For Information Sessions

Twice a week, Chris Stafford works from morning to night.

The 36-year-old husband and father is a contract project manager for the country’s biggest banks. By day, he’s usually sitting in front of a computer terminal, or in meetings with co-workers. But on Tuesdays and Thursdays, he trades his suits for a white karate uniform and a black belt and transforms into a karate sensei (instructor) to young professionals – mostly fellow Bay St. workers – in a financial district studio.

Schools close the gender gap

More women than ever before are going to business school.

According to the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business,women today comprise about 37 per cent of the student body at traditional full-time MBA programmes in the US, compared with 33 per cent five years ago and 30 per cent 10 years ago. And while most schools are still far from an even gender split, many are closing the gap.
